Emerline Ji is a marketer, creative producer, and writer based in NYC.
What I'm doing
Currently, I’m the Head of Brand and Content at CreativeMornings, the world’s largest face-to-face creative community. I serve full-time on the CreativeMornings HQ team, where I lead all of our brand and content efforts.
Outside of the office, I publish an occasional newsletter called PAPER TRAIL and am creating a podcast about Korean music called Seoul Tribe.
What I value
I work with artful brands and communities to delight and empower their people through empathetic audience research, thoughtful marketing, creative strategies, and timely stories.
I believe the practice of consistently taking "ideas with legs" from start to finish is a valuable and underappreciated skill to have these days. Historically, I've been most successful in cross-functional roles bridging strategy with content, product, and community.
Past lives
Prior to CreativeMornings, I worked at Squarespace on their communications team and served the Impact Hub Los Angeles network as a community host.
My career got its start when I lived abroad in Seoul and worked at Prain (South Korea's top marketing and PR firm), where I had the amusing experience of crafting tourism campaigns starring the artist Psy (yes, the Gangnam Style Psy) and being on the frontlines of their internationalization efforts.
